Thank you for the reply.   That is unfortunate that you do not keep track of counterfeits or have a counterfeit database, I thought there would be one in order to "red flag" submitted banknotes.  Such a database would help reduce the spread of counterfeits and would greatly benefit the banknote community as a whole. It would be pretty easy to setup. I wonder what would happen if all the grading services had a common counterfeit database that was accessible to everyone or at least to the other grading services.
Thank you for the information and the reply.

    Good morning,
Thank you for your message.  You can now put error notes under any qualifying tier.  Since the note is dated after 1957, if you value the note under $300 then you could put it under the Modern tier.  If you value it over $300 then it would have to go under the Economy tier.  You can find a listing of our grading tiers here: PMG Services & Fees | PMG (pmgnotes.com)
    Thank you!

Hello, thank you for your message.  We do not have an official process for requesting things like this to be added.  You can certainly send us an email and we can forward that on to our management and research department for consideration.  You can reach us at: service@pmgnotes.com.
    Thank you!

Many thanks for the clarification - the ones I am thinking of are World notes, I don't think they are redeemable by the bank but I will have to check!

    Good morning,
Thanks for your message.  You can keep the note in the Legacy holder, but you will need to sign and include the "Consent to Remove note from Holder" page that gives us your permission to remove the note from the other company's holder.
    Thank you!

    Good morning,
Thank you for your message.  PMG can grade contemporary counterfeits as long as the issued note is no longer redeemable by the bank. As a result, almost all of the contemporary counterfeits you see graded will be much older notes and not anything modern.  You can find out more about counterfeits here: The Progression of Counterfeiting Throughout US History | PMG (pmgnotes.com)
    Thank you!

    Good morning,
Thank you for your message.  I forwarded these images to our research department and they checked with the graders.  They are asking if you can send a detailed photo of the hologram at different angles.  There is some concern that the images you have already sent look a bit flat which could indicate a forgery.  If you aren't able to send any additional or more detailed photos, it might be something we would have to see in person to be sure on.
If you have any questions, please let us know.  Thank you!

    Good morning,
Thanks for your message.  On this particular note the "le" would stand for Limited Edition.  For this particular FR number there was a 150th Anniversary set with a specific serial number range that were part of this limited edition group.
If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thank you!

    Good morning,
When the term "as made" is used to describe a specific defect, that means that it occurred sometime during the process of making the note.  This term can be applied to any defect that our graders feel occurred during the creation of the note and not after it was released.  In this case, there was an indentation made during some point of the creation and/or printing of the note which was significant enough for the graders to note it on the label.
    Thank you!

    Good morning,
I did check with our research department and they advised that we do not currently consider these duplicate serial numbers because they were printed at different facilities.  This means that they have different FR#'s and we currently only recognize the Duplicate S/N Error if it is the exact same Pick #/FR# and Variety.
I am sorry we cannot accommodate your request at this time.
    Thank you!

    Good morning,
It would depend on the reason they weren't graded.  If they were counterfeit or altered then the full grading fee is still charged.  If they were just something we are not currently graded or if there was some issue and the note was too fragile to grade, we would not charge any grading fee.  The note would be sent back as is in both cases.
    Thank you!

    Good morning,
I checked with our research department and while we haven't graded this specific type of coupon before, we have done similar items so they do believe we can grade this as well.  Of course, our graders will have to see it in person before we can say 100% but they do believe we can grade it.
    Thanks!

Hello, you are not charged a fee for notes that don't have a catalog number, such as these.  You are only charged the $5 fee when they are in our main reference books but not provided on the form.  In this case, when you are completing the online form, you can just type N/A in that field.
    Thanks!

Jennifer F. got a reaction from Revenant in 23e vs 23f?
    Good morning,
It looks like the note you have labeled as 23e is incorrectly labeled.  The difference between 23e and 23f would be the redemption date.  For 23e it should be December 31, 2004 and for 23f it should be December 31, 2005.  Since they both list 12-31-05 they both should be 23f.  You can send the incorrect note back and we will fix that for you at no charge.  Just send us over an email with this information and we can send you instructions on how to send that back for correction.
    Thanks!

    Good morning,
Thanks for your message.  This note was graded by PMG, however, it was graded before the EPQ status went into regular use.  This is also before we began imaging notes and the labels and holders have gone through upgrades and changes since then also.  You can submit the note for a reholder and it can receive the updated holder, label and EPQ designation. Reholders are $12 per note.
    Thank you!
