Good morning,

Thank you for your message.  Unfortunately, Color Trial Specimens are not listed on the Population Report.  Other types of notes not listed on the Pop Report would be:

  • Specimen Proof
  • Printer's Design
  • Printer's Essay
  • Artist Rendition
  • Printer's Model
  • Pick Unlisted
  • Test Note
  • Progressive Proof
  • Contemporary Counterfeit

Thank you!

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for the reply. Is this a recent change? The 50 Cedis (ND) 1965 color trial specimen is listed on the Population Report which prompted my query (screenshot below). Also, when searching "cts" in the search bar of the Population Report, plenty of other color trial specimens from other countries are represented

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks again for the reply.

Not trying to be a pain but in a previous thread just over a year ago (below) graded notes with a cts designation that were not in the Population Report were reviewed by PMGs research manager and it was decided that they would be added.

Is there a review process in place to asset what gets added on a case by case basis? I ask as these notes are of extreme historical importance as they are the 1st fully independent currency notes post the colonisation of the African continent and therefore the 1st independent color trial conducted by an African bank. If there is a review process of some sort I'd be happy to share the significance of this set of color trials specifically? I've also added a full list of the notes from the year of which its just the cts notes (apart from the 50 cedis cts) which isn't represented.

Thanks again for all your help so far, much appreciated

Hello, thank you for your message.  We do not have an official process for requesting things like this to be added.  You can certainly send us an email and we can forward that on to our management and research department for consideration.  You can reach us at: service@pmgnotes.com.

Thank you!
