Thunder1319-migration Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Thank you! And yes this is a beauty!
kbsig106 Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Love star notes in any condition - nice!
kbsig106 Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 1928D - scored the winning bid at Long Beach yesterday and under estimates. Now that I have this one and will compete the $5 FRN set by next month, I'm going to pull back a bit until FUN in January. I'm sure there will be some nice notes looking for a new home.
kbsig106 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Nice low # $500 FRN - as much as I would hate to see these make a come back, they sure are nice looking notes.
Dwaine Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Thanks, this is my first real note. I have a few silver certificates and star notes but nothing this big. The price was right and I have never seen one of these so I went for it.
jtryka Posted September 21, 2009 Author Report Posted September 21, 2009 Nice one Dwaine! If I didn't have one already I would have gone for that one, glad to see you got it! Now you only need a thousand!
BOILER78 Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 These just came in today. It seems like ages since I bought a Large size type note??
tonidanzawillpay Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 very nice additions,as usual/ love how they used the red an blue thread in 2 seperate strips, guessin these were the first security strips!
dean1345 Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Boiler....The poker chip is one of my favorite notes. Your note has sharp vivid color and loaded with security fibers. Great pickup. If you ever buy a $5 MorganBack please post it and share it with us.
BOILER78 Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 dean1345- You must be psychic?? I just got this note in yesterdays mail!
dean1345 Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Boiler.............I think I just wet my pants.
Dwaine Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Boiler your currency is just as amazing as your coins. Never seen most of these currency before. I might just be hooked on another thing to start collecting.
dean1345 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Boiler....... Love your Porthole. The colors jump out at you.
kbsig106 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 The Porthole is one Lincoln I would like to afford - I love the Rev.
BOILER78 Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 A new Chief rode in to town this week. This is one of my favorite designs but with so many beautiful designs, I find it much more difficult to chose favorites in this area of numismatics.
kbsig106 Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 What a super nice display of notes, keep them coming... I have a batch of 50 in at PMG since the 23rd and nothing to post.
jtryka Posted October 9, 2009 Author Report Posted October 9, 2009 Boiler, a spectacular note, and nice serial number!
BOILER78 Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Thanks Jeff With 8 new notes in the last 2 weeks I may have to amend my "box of twenty" type set?
jtryka Posted October 10, 2009 Author Report Posted October 10, 2009 Boiler, notes really don't take up that much space, so why not just get a bigger box? Maybe a box of 25 or 30?
jtryka Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 Certainly nothing like Boiler's additions, but I just won this one tonight in the Lyn Knight auction:
123cents Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Boiler, your Chief & Battleship notes are fantastic! Jeff I love your National.
