mkman123 Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 More pictures of everyones addition pls!! Loving it
RB3 Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 Here's my new addition. Major fold right down the center lenth ways, and a ding to the bottom left corner. A little dirty on the right, but other wise I think it would grade out at a VF25. Let me know what you think and a price on it. I'm thinking $600-$650?
jtryka Posted December 4, 2011 Author Report Posted December 4, 2011 Here are three that I got in a bargain lot at the last Lyn Knight auction, I didn't have a $50, and I think the SF issue fits well with the others I have.
jtryka Posted December 4, 2011 Author Report Posted December 4, 2011 and here is the third note from the lot:
gpnyc Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 Picked up this $5 silver cert to match a $10 silver cert I bought years ago (also pictured below).
FiresideGuy-migration Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 I've been trying to figure this one out but having a difficult time of it. I have a 2009 $1 FRN, in MS60+ condition. The printed portrait on it seem wider than other $1 notes. I've have the note verified as authentic. Is this a fluke or is it common? Is it normal for print plates to expand this much during the printing process.
Mike33-migration Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Hey Guys, New to the forum and thought I would share some of my recently acquired notes. Currently looking for a reasonable priced consecutive pair of 1934-A $10 North Africa notes in AU or better but uncertified if possible. Is there a wanted board on here somewhere I am overlooking?

Steve in Tampa Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 (edited) My latest "Tampa" National Edited March 3, 2012 by Steve in Tampa
Bill Collector-migration Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 My latest as of today, 1928 $ 500.00. 123675 500.00 Small 1928 1.jpg Bill Collector
jtryka Posted March 13, 2012 Author Report Posted March 13, 2012 That's a great $500! I've been wanting a 1928 series with the gold clause for a while, but alas I still have only a series 1934 I think. And it looks to be in great condition to boot, congrats on the new note!
Bill Collector-migration Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Thanks jtryka, I also have the 1934 series but waited a long time to find this 1928 series. Finally found one that matched up nicely with the 1934, and was affordable. Bill C.
Weg Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 I recently picked up a nice 1928 $20 via brain fart during an auction. I wanted a 1928C or 1928D just to have a true light green seal to use for comparison to transitional green seals. Somehow I took the -D in the FR # and without thinking took it as a 1928D series; dumb. Don't ask how I did that, I have no answer. This makes another note to sell and it's not even a duplicate.
Weg Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 I haven't posted much lately so to make up for it here are 6 recent newps. Normally I don't go for consecutive notes but I thought these were special; a cut half sheet of N. Africa $5 Late Finished Plate 307. What would have really been cool is if they were not cut, an intact half sheet.
johnny9434 Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 thats a way nice note bill. nice pick up thats well worth the wait
Bill Collector-migration Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 Thanks johnny9434, Now I'm going to start looking for a set of 1928 and 1934 $ 1000. FRN's, At the cost I've seen them at it may even be a longer wait, but it gives me something to look for and keeps me active. Bill C.
johnny9434 Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 i agree whole heartedly bill. some things like that just take time. best wishes john
jtryka Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 This one arrived in the mail today, found it on eBay for my type set, nothing too special.
jtryka Posted May 4, 2012 Author Report Posted May 4, 2012 This one arrived in the mail today, a little rough but still fun!
Nutmeg Coin Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 Nice note. I sent a $20 1928 gold note into Teletrade to get it certified and sold. I thought it would grade at least XF40. Anyone have thoughts on this note, and its approx. value for auction reserve: http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.asp?auction=3276&lot=2392
johnny9434 Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 this is sure a pretty note. thanks for sharing
Steve in Tampa Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Wish I could afford a nicer example, but this will do for now.
Weg Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 My last two newps; waiting for the $5 to come back from PMG.
johnny9434 Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 i like that $20 hawaii note and its a star as well. nice pick up and grade
