It's not a recent addition but it's something I bought pre-Covid when I was really active in the HA weeklies.

I didn't know growing up there were different Seal colors except for the Silver Certificate Blue.  Though sometimes the Light, Dark, and Normal Greens can be tough to differentiate.  This one is clearly Light Green.

I have to review what the different Greens stood for.

I don't think they really stood for anything, just a change in the ink used. You can probably date the notes by the seal color.

Awesome not GF. You picked out some notes with really good eye appeal. (thumbsu

Thanks Mike.  It really was amazing how the low-60's bills almost always had uneven borders that really stood out.  65's and above were nice...if too expensive, I would drop down to the 58 range and take an "invisble" fold or crease or two over uneven borders (like my PMG-45 GC). (thumbsu

You know....I never really read the words and legalese on these notes, except maybe on the GCs and SCs. xD

It really is interesting how the FRN "legal tender" language changed on these 1934's right after gold was removed from the economy.

I have to track down some timeline that shows the changes in the legal (tender) wording on U.S. currency over the years and decades.  Probably would be fascinating. (thumbsu

Love those X block SC's. Nice note GF. (thumbsu

Thanks Mike...I like that the PMG site has the breakdowns by block.  Pretty easy to access...I may go back and check the splits among some of my bills as I have nice grades and features but in "common" blocks....there are others with very few entries.

With coins, you just have at most 3 mintmarks per year....with bills you can have a dozen or more blocks.

Some X(?) block numbers were used for testing or experimental runs to identify the notes, not this particular note though.

I assume you're talking about the Population Report? PMG only lists notes that they've graded so it's only a snippet of what is potentially out there.

Yeah, like my Hawaian note.....in PMG-65 or above, they're not that rare in the aggregate but some blocs are much rarer than others.

My $1 PMG-67 on the previous page is a "CC" bloc, will check totals later but I believe it's a pretty common one.

I'd like to see the back of the note if you can post an image, if not no worries.

Thanks, I wanted to see if the second printing was misaligned or if it was a bad cut job with misaligned overprint.

It's not a fancy number if that's what you mean. Some people do collect "Lucky" number notes, the numbers 2, 6, & 8 are considered lucky in Chinese culture I believe, and those are the numbers that people would be looking for. Personally I would consider this one a spender or I might hang on to it for a little while to play liars poker with.
