  1. Hello @Scarface713, Thank you for contacting us. PMG is a currency grading company. We do not buy, sell, or value paper money. You can find out more about our company here: About PMG If you are interested in submitting notes to us for grading, you can find out more on the process online at How to Submit | PMG (pmgnotes.com) and our grading fees at PMG Services & Fees | PMG (pmgnotes.com). 2. Hello @Stephenf, all evaluations must be done in person by a grader. Unfortunately, pictures can sometimes not provide the full details we need necessary to review and grade a note. The note will need to be sent in for further evaluation by a grader to be reviewed. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Thank you!
  3. Hello @Stephenf, thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm via photos if the note was cut by hand with scissors. An in-hand evaluation by the grading team would be required to determine this. If you are interested in submitting the note to us for evaluation and grading, you can find out more on the process online at How to Submit | PMG (pmgnotes.com) and our grading fees at PMG Services & Fees | PMG (pmgnotes.com). If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  4. Hello @VonZilla9, thank you for contacting us. We're excited to hear you are submitting your note to us for grading! Here is the recommended shipping instructions on how to package your note for shipment - • Pack the notes in a well-secured, appropriately sized box with the submission form. We recommend packing a box within a box. Do not tape, staple, glue or paper clip notes to cardboard or sleeves. Use bubble wrap or newspaper to protect notes inside their container. • Securely seal the package with reinforced shipping tape to prevent tampering en route. Any damaged, unsealed or poorly sealed packages will be rejected and returned to the shipper. • Do not put raw notes inside a box or envelope without some sort of protection. • If putting notes inside cardboard or envelope for protection, please mark that there are notes inside. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!

    Modern Bulk

Hello @vlad.k, thank you for contacting us. As of 2022, specimen, proof, and test notes are no longer excluded from the bulk grading tier. You may submit these items under the bulk grading tiers! Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Thank you!
  6. Hello @batch boy, thank you for contacting us. Yes, all submitters must be a member to send notes to PMG for grading. You can sign up to be a member ahead of time before the show, or we can help you out when you get there. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  7. Hello @Karen Maurer, thank you for contacting us. All serial numbers must be in consecutive order. One (1) break in the serial number sequence will be allowed for every 50 notes submitted. Multiple catalog numbers are allowed. All vintage or modern notes are accepted except error notes and Chinese notes issued from 1948 through the 1953 First Series notes (Pick numbers 800 to 859). Please note that there is a 50-note minimum, so 15 notes would not qualify for this tier. You may consider picking on of the regular non-bulk grading tiers instead. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!

    Errors

Hello @Jimm S, thank you for contacting us. Just to clarify, do you believe the notes have been misattributed? If so, can you post photos of the notes along with their certificate numbers? I will have my team take a look at them. Thank you!
  10. Hello @Patri-Arctic, thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, we do not have a portion of our PMG census specifically for sutler -script notes. You would need to look these up manually and then find the population report from there on our PMG Verification page. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
  11. Hello @Ramon RI, my team sent me the following - The printings are determined by the serial number ranges. Each note type will have a different range. The ranges can be found in the book "Comprehensive Catalog of Military Payment Certificates" by Fred Schwan. I hope that helps! Please let us know if you need help with anything else.
  12. Hello @Ramon RI, thank you for your inquiry! I am happy to check on this for you with my team. I will reply back here once I have an answer to your question.
  13. Hello @SoFi NIO OPEN, thank you for contacting us. PMG does not have any "slow" or "busy" seasons throughout the year. We are consistently busy! Pick number

Hello @Computer Lab, thank you for your message. Is it a USA note? If so, for most U.S. notes, we use the book, Paper Money of the United States by Arthur and Ira Friedberg, this is also known as the Friedberg number. You may be able to find the catalog number in that book instead. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  15. Hello @manofwar, thank you for your reply. I am truly sorry, can you please kindly clarify your question so that we may further assist? I have read through your inquiry with Nicki O and I am not quite sure what your question is in your second post. Thank you!
  16. Hello @Rarepapernote, thank you for your reply. No, when we state that there is "ink" or "minor" ink, this did not come from the manufacturing process. It would have been ink that was added to the note after it was printed. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Thank you!
  17. Hello @Andy1977, Thank you for contacting us. PMG is a currency grading company. We do not buy, sell, or value paper money. You can find out more about our company here: About PMG Unfortunately, PMG cannot advise if notes are worth sending in for grading or if grading will have an impact on their value. Many collectors have notes graded with the intent to sell the notes, while others use the service to authenticate the note and have them protected in the encapsulation holder. For current or anticipated values, we recommend checking online to get an idea of what that type of note sells for or having them appraised by a reputable currency dealer.  If you are interested in submitting notes to us for grading, you can find out more on the process online at How to Submit | PMG (pmgnotes.com) and our grading fees at PMG Services & Fees | PMG (pmgnotes.com). If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  18. Hello @Ramon Rosell, thank you for contacting us. In looking into our internal grading notes, the grades only mention "55" and do not show NET. Currently, the grade appears to be correct on the label. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  19. Hello @Akadri, you may write in the upper right-hand corner of the submission form which submission numbers you'd like shipped back together. The combined total of notes being shipped back with indicate how much we will charge in return shipping. There will be one combined shipping fee charged for all submissions we are able to ship back together. You may change your payment method to credit card if you would like after submitting. You may email us the card details or call in and provide that information. You may also update your payment information by logging into your account online and going to the Submission Tracking feature. Here you should find the Update Payment option. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  20. Hello @Libra Numismatics, I have received a reply from the grading team. They confirmed that due to the extent of the damage and repair work that had been done, our team decided to not encapsulate it. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Thank you!
  21. Hello @Libra Numismatics, I will see if our team has any additional information we can provide on this note for you. I appreciate your patience while I check on this!
  22. Hello @Libra Numismatics, thank you for contacting us. Certain banknotes are not eligible for PMG grading and encapsulation. In this case, banknotes that have altered design features such as dates, imprints, serial numbers, denominations, watermarks, etc. and banknotes that are not genuine or of questionable authenticity are not certified by PMG. You may kindly read more about this here: Learn more Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Thank you!

    Canada 73b

Hi Vlad, thank you for that information. Our PMG population report is currently still being built out on the all catalog #s we have graded, so it is not showing quite yet. We are still working to build out this portion of the pop report as more of these notes are sent to us, so we thank you for your patience in the meantime! Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Thank you!
  24. Hello @Jared Owen, thank you for contacting us. There is no grading tier specifically for uncut sheets of notes. Instead, please kindly select the grading tier that most appropriately fits the value of one uncut sheet as the grading tier. PMG can grade and encapsulate uncut sheets of notes as long as they fit within the dimensions of our custom holders: Custom holders. For grading purposes, the sheet count as one note since we grade the sheet as a whole and not the individual notes on the sheet. With this in mind, you will pay one grading fee plus the custom holder fee (either small or large depending on the size of the sheet). Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  25. Hello @luckyrollers, thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, PMG cannot advise if notes are worth sending in for grading or if grading will have an impact on their value. Many collectors have notes graded with the intent to sell the notes, while others use the service to authenticate the note and have them protected in the encapsulation holder. For current or anticipated values, we recommend checking online to get an idea of what that type of note sells for or having them appraised by a reputable currency dealer.   Kindly keep in mind that PMG does not buy, sell, or value notes in any way. Should you decide to submit the notes for grading, you will need to determine a declared value for each note. The value we ask for is an insurance value, an amount you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value should your item get lost or damaged during the process. Each tier of service covers up to a maximum specified insurance level, select the tier of service which will accommodate the declared value for your item.  Current services and fees can be viewed online at PMG Services & Fees | PMG (pmgnotes.com). If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thank you!
