That’s it like you said before it’s the novelty factor! It would be nice to have at least one in the set however I have a lot of holes to fill and even more now they decided to split off the specimens!

Yep, that too. I'll take a key note or a note to fill a hole over a 70 any day. Way to many other things to think about other than top grades.

I've had similar problems in getting things like the P-1d for $100 when so many of the other notes in that set were had for $8-30. But it is a dang good feeling to have a full variety group of the P-1.

If I found one, in a series that I collect, for around $200 I would think about it and more likely than not would pick it up. That would be right around my limit for what I would consider a onetime novelty purchase, there are just to many cool notes out there that you can get for much less money in 68 and 69.

    Hey Mike,
I am honestly unsure but I wouldn’t imagine it wouldn’t go for very big $$ as the demand for high graded quality in Nicaragua notes just isn’t there at the moment!
I picked up this beauty 69🌟 my highest graded note for just under u$150 last year.

For that price I'd definitely think about it. What would that note go for today?
.Been thinking hard about a themed set, just haven't found the right thing yet.... A stench of skunks  nah.

Nice write up on your Ukrainian sets by PMG:  https://www.pmgnotes.com/news/article/9040/PMG-Registry-News/  Well Done FM!

Sniped again.... We'll see where these notes land in the registry. If they do end up here.....
This one was a little surprising, I had a decent number on there for what it was. Guess I'm going to have to adjust to a rising market. That's a lot of to's.

The story behind the  same banks having different charter numbers:
    As told by Tom Snyder;
The first national bank chartered in the state of Wisconsin was the Farmers and millers Bank of Milwaukee. Its president at the time of the national bank proposal was Edward D. Holton, H.H. Camp was the cashier. They received charter number 64 under the name of the First National Bank of Milwaukee. Their bank notes continued to be issued and reissued and in April 1882 their charter expired some four months before legislation to re-charter the banks for a second 20-year period was completed. This and the other early banks had no choice but to wind up their business under the old charter and reapply for a new charter as a completely new organization.
The First National Bank of Milwaukee now received a new-20 year charter as number 2715. In 1902, the 20-year re-chartering procedure was in place. Following the practice of some eastern banks and for prestige reasons, in 1911 the bank requested of Congress and received an act reinstating its original charter number of 64.

I like your idea of a 1902 Type Set from Wisconsin  I'm going to have to look into how to to build a type set.
I noticed your $10PB in your Wisconsin set is from Cincinnati?
I will keep an eye out for for your posting of the (2715) replacement note. My bulk submission is is now in QC also so I should see some grades soon.

Fenntucky Mike reacted to Revenant in 1 Million Bolivares...
Funny that you mention that because you see the stuff about them buying paper for a 100,000 bolivar note and then they didn't even print it / saved the paper because it wasn't worth it!
I never know what to expect and I don't put a lot of expectations on these things because you never know what these crazy governments will do. I was shocked there were no new notes in 2020 really. I was expecting more sooner and here we are.
When the new Zimbabwe series started I was both excited and filled with dread at the possibility of another 27-32 note set.

I will be THRILLED if they come back with 60+ grades. We'll see. I mostly just want something reasonably nice for closing this gap in my set and the story I want to tell with it.

Ok, this was tough! I had to use some deductive reasoning with these. Ok, so my thought process is that none of these will beat the current Top Pop notes. Reason being, I'm assuming all the top notes were not claimed (stamped/written on). With my ceiling established I down graded from there. I feel like I'm a little harsh with my guesses and hopefully the notes go up from there. I'm going to rest my eyes for a min and take a look again this week, might tweak a few numbers.

Yes, Hampson and Clancy signed the Riverside, CA note.  Riverside could also be in my set on notes with titles having something to do with water... I have a few creeks, bays, lakes, etc. in that set.  lots of possibilities :-)

Great set! I like the signatures on the Riverside note.
That set has a lot of room to stretch yet. I might start an "Old Citizens NB" set, then a "First Citizens NB" and so on. Baby steps for me, when I do start. So many ways to collect.

You're a lucky guy my friend and that's a pretty great gift to boot!
I have looked at these before and I liked them a lot but I didn't think they would fit some of the older "blanket" type notes in my collection, the tallest note I have with holder measures 6.5". I didn't know they had a little pocket on the end/bottom, super cool and I hadn't thought about orienting them that way but I guess you would have to in order to open them without everything spilling out. You could still stand them up like a book for security/storage though.
Feeling jealous of those storage books and pretty inadequate due to my junk draw method of storage right now.

Definitely a centering issue, along with poor separation of the top and bottom perforations (not clean, crisp, clear tears/cuts like the sides) and a slight horizontal crease bottom center (more visible on the reverse). Not a stamp guy (yet) but that's what I'm seeing.

Read a little blurb about Zim last week in Coin World, speaking to the state of things there.

Side note, I'm really loving that Coin World now has a Paper Money section. I think they added it at the start of 2020 and it seems to be expanding.
