  1. Hello, welcome to the forum.

My opinion is that they are not worth getting graded but would sell for a decent premium, just not enough to justify grading. They have good serial numbers that would bump the price even though they are not fancy, and the star notes are from a small print and that would also boost there price a little. Condition is good but the notes show signs of handling and probably would grade around 65, the cost to have them graded would be around $40 when it's all said and done, I just don't see you recouping that cost.

i Placed numbers for each note I need a slot for so far, I expect the need for additional slots in the future should e expected as well.  Thanks, manofwar

Try emailing registry@pmgnotes.com, someone will get back to you. It's faster to email and I think that PMG prefers you email them anyway. Good Luck. (thumbsu

    Welcome to the forum.

If you're talking about the four letters, "I", on the note, that is the letter associated with that Federal Reserve Bank.

    A Boston

    B New York

    C Philadelphia

    D Cleveland

    E Richmond

    F Atlanta

    G Chicago

    H St. Louis

    I Minneapolis

    J Kansas City

    K Dallas

    L San Francisco

If you're asking about the eight digit number repeated at the upper right and lower left, that is the unique serial number with block letters printed on the note and it is not considered a fancy number.

1929 is the series number, and D32 is the position and plate number.

  4. I don't own this note but was looking at it and am surprised by the assigned grade as I think it is flat out wrong. Just curious what other think this would grade.

  5. The insufficient inking error I'd put in the $200-$300 range, the $20 sold at Heritage for $504 a little over a year ago, I wouldn't think the price has moved much on that. Best place to determine value is by recent auction sales of notes in the same or very similar condition, with the same Fr#.

$1 dollar 1957 b, Star Note, Silver Certificate. Not sure if print error, when viewing the print sits slightly more to right side compared to left side of bill, the white edge seems less. Is it worth submitting for grading? 8A4BB14C-E423-466E-BC35-11E039B5BBE9.thumb.jpeg.3630fa8bb87e47963734d8e08719f0c7.jpeg

Hello and welcome to the forum.

It's slightly off center but well within tolerance and not considered an error, definitely not worth the cost of grading.

Typically a collector would want to see some of the printing from an adjacent note visible or for there to be almost no margin left before there would be a premium for the note. Also, I'm not sure if the printing is slightly off or if the cutting is off, impossible to say without seeing the back, either way this would not be considered an error.

I recently got this Label Set back from PMG and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Originally I asked PMG if they'd also holder the label. At first they said "No". To their credit they reconsidered and agreed to holder the 2 notes with the label in a custom holder. It came out FANTASTIC!!

    Nice! Beautiful presentation piece. :golfclap:

Glad to hear that PMG agreed to do this, even if it did take some persuasion.

Hey everyone I hope I am posting this where I should be. I received the link for this site through a well known member of Coin Talk. I have a duplicate star note, it was printed at Fort Worth and serial number is B06454362*

I'm hoping to locate the Washington print.

Click the link below to go to the Project 2013B webpage.

    https://project2013b.blogspot.com/2021/10/welcome.html

Here's the database, no match from what I saw but they can add your note to the list.

    https://project2013b.blogspot.com/p/2013bdatabase.html

One of the biggest problems from what I here is actually being able to contact the individual parties when a match is found, then getting the two parties to agree on either giving (buy, sell, trade) one or the other the matching note and/or agreeing to terms to sell the pair.

    Good luck. (thumbsu
