Does the number sequence have to repeat fully for it to be considered a repeater? I thought that it did but I could be wrong. Regardless, an amazing note! :golfclap:

Just picked up this well worn example with low serial number, # (22) 000004, the 22 is the series # which is separated from the serial number by a dot. I consider the series number independent of the serial, as do most, but it seems PMG does not and would not label this as a fancy number note, which I knew prior to purchasing. I've come to this conclusion based on how I've seen recent notes in the series graded and labeled, I may reach out to PMG if I ever consider trying to have this graded but for now it will sit happily in my collection.

I got this Radar years ago and pretty cheap -- like cost (~ $15).  I think I bought another bill from the guy at retail, like a semi-low SN, for like $75...so i guess maybe you split the price and I didn't quite overpay on the latter nor get the former as cheap as I thought. xD

All in, including shipping, the Yugoslav radar I posted above cost me just under $50 at auction.

Not bad.  Which auction...whose ?

Heritage will often sell 2 or 4 bills together if the cost is very low so that way the bp and S&H/taxes don't take a $15 note up to $35 with all the stuff tacked-on.  I bought a few doubles from them over the years...they like to package modern fancy SNs together if the price isn't that high.  They don't want to sell too much stuff for a final cost of $30....at least with 2 of them it is a bit closer to $100. (thumbsu

ebay. People give ebay a bad rap for selling counterfeits, deservedly so, but there is also a lot of great stuff on there too. Foolish to shut it out completely, might not be the place to send a novice right off the bat but as long as you do your homework it is a good place to find items.

Yeah, HA does that quite a bit. Makes me wonder why they even take such items on for consignment, they must be pieces of a larger collection going to auction with higher $ item. I don't get a lot of pieces from HA, maybe a handful a year if they have anything I'm interested in.

Agreed....I don't know about buying a 4-figure or 5-figure note there unless it's with an Ebay store or individual seller with many years and lots of favorable ratings.  You can usually tell who the scammers and frauds are -- they are new sellers, few ratings, and offer something 20% cheaper than market so you think you're getting a bargain.

I guess it helps pay the bills :)....also lengthens the weekly auctions which might go begging for stuff since the pricey stuff goes for sale in consignments or FUN Signature, etc.  I actually think it's a good way to get acclimated to the site...bidding...and buying low-priced stuff.  I got started that way back in 2019 pre-Covid. (thumbsu

If it's certified, no risk of being counterfeit.  Or super super low.  I don't think counterfeiting bills in the cost range you and I play in is really worth it for a counterfeiter.

Much harder to counterfeit currency IMO than coins.  And riskier, too (if counterfeiting bills that can pass as moderns, will attract local police, SS, FBI, NSA, CIA, etc.).
