  1. Good morning,

As I mentioned in my previous message, this was double checked with our graders and they advised that we currently list the 00 as part of the serial number and not the prefix.  I am sorry if you do not agree with this but it ultimately is up to our graders discretion.  You are welcome to email any additional information over to us and we can forward that over to our graders for them to review but there is no guarantee of a change on that.  If you do wish to email anything over, you can send that to us at: service@pmgnotes.com.  Thank you!

  2. Good morning,

Thank you for your message. The term toning is used on notes that have a brown tone to the paper in certain areas or it can be seen across the hole note.  Toning usually occurs from aging and/or when a note has not been properly stored over a long period. If the toning is severe, it can result in a NET grade.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thank you!

  3. Good morning,

Thank you for your message.  Generally, the max size we can accommodate for an uncut sheet would be 400 x 470 mm. PMG Oversize and Custom Holders | PMG (pmgnotes.com)  Any sheet larger than this is done on a case by case basis and must be pre-approved before submitting.  If you have a sheet larger than this size, you can email us an image of the sheet as well as the dimensions and we can check to see if that would be approved for submission.  You can reach us at 877-764-5570 or by email at service@pmgnotes.com.

    Thank you!

  4. Good morning,

Thank you for your message.  Unfortunately, Color Trial Specimens are not listed on the Population Report.  Other types of notes not listed on the Pop Report would be:

    • Specimen Proof
    • Printer's Design
    • Printer's Essay
    • Artist Rendition
    • Printer's Model
    • Pick Unlisted
    • Test Note
    • Progressive Proof
    • Contemporary Counterfeit

    Thank you!

  5. Good morning,

Thank you for your message.  I forwarded these images to our research department and they checked with the graders.  They are asking if you can send a detailed photo of the hologram at different angles.  There is some concern that the images you have already sent look a bit flat which could indicate a forgery.  If you aren't able to send any additional or more detailed photos, it might be something we would have to see in person to be sure on.

If you have any questions, please let us know.  Thank you!

  6. Good morning,

Thank you for your message.  The price guide comes to us from a third party and is based on current auction prices.  If there is no auction pricing available for a particular note then we will not be able to list a value.  Not every note will have a price guide value, unfortunately.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thank you!

  7. Good morning,

Thank you for your email.  Unfortunately, we could not make any determinations about a note without first examining it in person.  You can find out more about how to submit to PMG here: How to Submit | PMG (pmgnotes.com)

You may also want to take the note to a currency dealer and they could appraise it or possibly provide you with additional information.  You may also try searching online for more information.

    Thank you!

  8. Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  Do you have a note with this Pick number that was graded by PMG?  If not, it is possible that we just haven't graded any.  The Population Report is only going to list notes that PMG has graded.  If you have one that was graded and is not listed, please provide the certification number from the back of the label.

    Thank you!

  9. Good afternoon,

Yes, as long as you have at least 50 notes and they are all valued less than $300 each, you can put them under the Bulk Vintage tier.  It would be $20 per note plus shipping and handling fees.  Thank you!

  10. Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  You can keep the note in the Legacy holder, but you will need to sign and include the "Consent to Remove note from Holder" page that gives us your permission to remove the note from the other company's holder.

    Thank you!

  11. Good morning,

When the term "as made" is used to describe a specific defect, that means that it occurred sometime during the process of making the note.  This term can be applied to any defect that our graders feel occurred during the creation of the note and not after it was released.  In this case, there was an indentation made during some point of the creation and/or printing of the note which was significant enough for the graders to note it on the label.

    Thank you!
