Welcome to the forum.

If you're talking about the four letters, "I", on the note, that is the letter associated with that Federal Reserve Bank.

A Boston

B New York

C Philadelphia

D Cleveland

E Richmond

F Atlanta

G Chicago

H St. Louis

I Minneapolis

J Kansas City

K Dallas

L San Francisco

If you're asking about the eight digit number repeated at the upper right and lower left, that is the unique serial number with block letters printed on the note and it is not considered a fancy number.

1929 is the series number, and D32 is the position and plate number.
