froginwell Posted April 27, 2022 Report Posted April 27, 2022 I wonder what would happen if the Federal Reserve system went away -- i.e., the US started using Treasury Notes or crypto or some other currency -- how would this effect the value of Federal Reserve note collections? Just speculating...

I tend to think that they would increase in value at first, bringing in new collectors and speculators. With no new notes being issued, would the collector base then drop off, in 40 years or so, devaluing all lesser collections and only the mega rarities pulling big $$ still?
