Heat damage to holder

2 posts in this topic

I bought this graded bill from an auction yesterday. The sun caused the holder to get deformed. Will pmg reseal it in a new holder for me? With the same grade? The auctioneer said that he would help in any way he can to make it right. I snipped the corner of the holder to try and release some of the pressure on the bill itself.

That stinks, I knew it could happen but hadn't seen one yet.

Yes, PMG will reholder it for a fee, I imagine you will have to resubmit it as if it were an ungraded note. I doubt very much that PMG would guarantee the grade, they will most likely reexamine it and assign a grade based on that. My guess is that it will still grade 15. Post this in the Ask PMG section. Good luck.
