Pressed Notes

Hello I have two notes that I would like to have graded, but I feel they have been pressed. I am curious how pressed notes are handled in their labeling. Do they get a Net designation? Or a note on the back of the holder? Or maybe even sent back and not graded at all?

Hello @BosFRN

Thank you for reaching out to us. You can submit a note that has been pressed but the pressing will affect the grade and the note will not be eligible to receive an EPQ (Excellent Paper Quality) designation because pressing removes contours in the paper leaving little to no trace of the original paper wave or embossing from serial numbers and seals. A pressed note will not receive a NET designation. Generally, the NET designation is used to indicate an issue with a note that may cause the note's condition to degrade over time, such as contamination with oil.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.
