Which software is the best software for notes

I simply use excel and make a spreadsheet.  "Year - Grade - Description - Purchase Date - Cost - Freidburg# - Notes".   I can sort any way I want.  I own a mac too.

you can create a notes section right in excel and create a spreadsheet. You can take necessary notes without using any other software.
