I have a Netherlands Indies (1929) 5 Gulden (P69b) submitted to PMG (to a dealer) by #2260201-053. May I ask the reason for this note to be deemed as NC and not encapsulated? Thank you in advance.

Hello @Libra Numismatics, thank you for contacting us. Certain banknotes are not eligible for PMG grading and encapsulation. In this case, banknotes that have altered design features such as dates, imprints, serial numbers, denominations, watermarks, etc. and banknotes that are not genuine or of questionable authenticity are not certified by PMG. Hello Kailee, about my note with #2260201-053, it was said on the holder that the note was "Not Suitable for Certification" (NC). I want to know whether the problem is the repair and pieces added to the banknote, or is there any other reason from PMG graders to determine if this banknote is not suitable for certification. Thank you

Hello Kailee, thank you for the response. I will be waiting for further information. I strongly believe the grader's reasons are very important for me to evaluate my collections before submitting them to PMG.

Hello @Libra Numismatics, I have received a reply from the grading team. They confirmed that due to the extent of the damage and repair work that had been done, our team decided to not encapsulate it. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please let us know if you need help with anything else. Thank you!

Hi @Paper Money Note,

Thank you for reaching out to us. This note was marked as NC due to the repair on the note. For this reason, the team did not encapsulate the note. Please let us know if you have any concerns.

Thank you,
