Administrator Ali E. Posted October 11, 2021 Administrator Report Share Posted October 11, 2021 Transfer of a note - How does this happen? There is normally a 72-hour wait time when someone claims a note to be his. Automated emails are sent to the previous owner and to the person claiming to be the new owner. After the 72-hour time period, if the previous owner does not contest ownership of the note, the note is automatically transferred to the new owner. If the previous owner does contest the transfer of the note, then we proceed from there. If you feel you ahve a note that another person is claiming to be his/hers, please take a few photos (at least 1 obverse AND 1 reverse) of the note, with all edges of the holder in view? Can you put something, such as a piece of mail or newspaper, something with a recent date visible on it, in the background of the photos? (Images taken from the seller's website will not suffice as proof of ownership.) Thanks in advance for your assistance. ***Please wait until you have a newly purchased note in hand before entering it into your PMG collection.***
