Why do the new holders scratch so badly

2 posts in this topic

I recently has some notes reholdered, the first batch looked horrible and was reholdred a second time, but still shows significant scratching . The PMG representative explained: " The holders that we are using are meant for archiving.  At times there will be slight scratching on the holders.  The second reholdering of the notes met the acceptable PMG quality level before shipment. Why aren't there clear warning in your site that say none of the notes will come back without scratching. Poor quality and even a worse standard of customer service.

Good morning,

Thank you for your post.  Unfortunately, some small scratches on the holder are unavoidable.  Our newer style of holders do not scratch more easily than our previous style of holder, it is just that the newer style is completely clear whereas the old style holders had a slight colored tint to them.  The clearer material makes any minor scratches stand out much more than they would on the tinted version.  You are welcome to send any notes back for a reholder, however it is impossible to say that a holder will remain scratch free.

If you have any questions, you can reach our customer service department at 941-309-1001 or by email at service@pmgnotes.com.

Thank you.
