Thank you for your question.  I'm not exactly certain what you are referring to, however.  Do you mean the use of those letters in the serial numbers on notes or are you referring to something else?  If you can clarify, I would be happy to assist you.

Clarify; I meant to say O and Z. My mistake. but the BEP website explains the O looks like a zero and the Z is used for test printings.

I checked with our Research department and they agreed that you are correct on the O and Z not being used any longer but they were not sure when those were eliminated from use, unfortunately.  If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thank you.
