Lighting for grading paper currency

Good morning,

Thank you for your question. PMG graders generally use an overhead incandescent lamp when grading. The wattage varies slightly depending on individual grader preference. In certain instances the graders may also use UV lighting on a note. The level of magnification used depends on the specific note and its qualities. It can vary from 5x to microscopic levels.

If you have any other questions, you can contact customer service at 941-309-1001 or by e-mail at service@pmgnotes.com.

Thank you
