Possible warpage ?

8 posts in this topic

I am also a member at a different currency forum, and there is a thread about warped PMG holders.

Is this something to be concerned about, or have you had any feedback on this subject.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your question. We have not had any issue with our holders in several months and have not received any complaints from customers regarding this issue for quite some time.

If you have a note that was encapsulated by PMG and the holder appears to be warped, you are more than welcome to send it back in to us and we will re-holder it for you at no charge.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. You can also reach us by e-mail at service@pmgnotes.com or by phone at 941-309-1001.

Thank you,

We just picked up a large batch of over 100 notes from PMG which were graded and given back to us at the Long Beach coin show. Every single one of them was warped. So the problem has not been corrected and we have experienced this many times before. Obviously we can't send back 100+ notes for reholder. There needs to be better quality control on this for sure!

Some of what others are saying;

"A group of us got over a hundred notes back from PMG today at the Long Beach coin show and every single one of them was warped again. Very disappointed."

....and

"When you get just a few back that are warped you can send them back for reholders but what can you do when 100+ come back all warped? PMG really needs to figure this out and FIX it."

....and

"I submitted some notes along with a friend and got them back at this past weekend's Long Beach show. Guess what ... more warped PMG holders. AGAIN"

Will PMG also pay for shipping back and forth Jennifer ?

Yes, if a customer receives a note back from us and the holder is warped, we will re-holder it at no cost. If the customer sends in a receipt for his shipping costs to re-submit the note, then yes, we can reimburse him for the shipping cost as well. We would not charge any shipping fees to send the note back to the customer.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thank you.

Just an fyi, the problem with warpage still exists even on the new thicker redesigned holder. We have received several batches of these new holder types back where the top portion with the label was bent inward and others were just warped on the bottom portion. Maybe not as bad the older style holders were coming out but still not ideal.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your message. We appreciate your feedback. If possible, we would ask that you e-mail some scans of the notes over to us so we can take a look and see what you are referring to. If you feel that the warping is too severe, you are welcome to send them back in for a re-holder.

If you have any questions, please contact us at 941-309-1001.

Thank you.
