Scott B
During the holidays, I read somewhere that the lack of traffic at Heritage Auctions allowed some people to pick up bargains. So I tried to see if I could find a bargain or two, I did! Using some holiday cash i picked up two colonial Maryland notes from 1774. If you are interested in the story, you can read by blog post here. I don't know if I'm going to get these graded. In case I do decided to have them graded, I sent an application to PMG for a direct submission account as an ANA member. I appreciate any thoughts on the matter. Without further ado, first is the Maryland Colonial note emission of April 10, 1774 2-Dollars: This is the Maryland Colonial note emission of April 10, 1774 8-Dollars: Very cool notes! GW
Nice find and good blog. Wish I was good at writing. For getting graded, usually I try to grade notes over $100. Or if I want to add to my on-line pmg collection. If your getting enjoyment about touching them, etc. and Can keep them safe and protected, Then I would suggest not encapsulating them. It’s always nice to have some history of where you live. Take good care of it.
