Japanese Occupation currency

2 posts in this topic

Someone just gave me Japanese currency used during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines in WWII. Is this something I can send in for grading/certification?? There's no date on it.

I'm a coin collector -- so I have no idea what to do here... confused.gif

Hi Allan,

Japanese occupation Philippines Peso money doesn't have a high price as much of its issue was preserved after the war. In fact if you do some searches on eBay, you'll see they are very common, and often sold in their original 100 count bands.

There is literally tons of this stuff out and about.

Although it certainly is a collectible! Just unfortunately not very valuable in exchange for legal currency!
