FNB Houston National Currency, no signature

I'm new to currency collecting, and I bought a $10 bank note that says it's from the First National Bank of Houston. Every other note I've seen has a cashier and president signature, this one does not. Could this be counterfeit?

We would need to know the specific series. It also depends if this note is large or small. A scan would be great if you could do that. Sometimes on the large size, the signatures have simply faded away. Without seeing it, it's hard to tell.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner -- had to get our vacation in before school started! The series is 1902, large note. Even if the signatures faded, wouldn't there be some sort of indentation from the signatures? Anyway, I will scan it for you to see. Maybe this is something I should look into getting graded?
