TeleTrade to Sell PMG Graded Notes

Just got a notice in the mail that TeleTrade is going to start holding currency auctions in August. Both PMG & PCGS notes will be allowed.

 

No other details were on the flyer.

That is consistent with a recent Coin World article advising that a related company, Spectrum, was getting into currency.

I believe that Spectrum has been an aggressive buyer of graded currency for several months. I guess they want to have a place to sell their own notes. Nonetheless this is a positive for the hobby.

Teletrade just announced that their first currency auction will be Sunday, September 10. Check this out:

How many new auction houses will only deal with CGA graded notes?

Why doesn't TT auction CGA notes? They've been around for a whole lot longer,perhaps because NGC and PCGS are bossom buddies with TT?

This will be a good move and will be interesting to see what the increased competition for online auctions will be...ie with Heritage and others.
