Are ladders and consecutive serial nrs. the same thing?

well, ladde refers to the serial number on one bill such as the example given by drsvenghali (12345678, 98765432, ...). consecutive serials refer to several bills in order but there is nothing special about the serial number. for ex using three bills, they could be 42562989,42562990, 42562991

There are also reverse "ladders", i.e., A 98765432 A, or A 76543210 A, etc. Some even consider serial #'s like A 76549876 A, or A 65418765 A to be ladders, unlike yours truly! confused-smiley-013.gif
