5 dollar bill error?

Hi...

I am a comic guy and had a question for the paper money community...I remember a few years ago that a minor error had occured on the 1999 series 5 dollar bill according to a TV news report...On the circle to the left of Lincoln it says United States on top and Federal Reserve System on the bottom...from what I remember the error was that the word states was missing the e and the s. In the copy (which I will try to link below) that I have I am just missing the e...the s is there. I don't know if this is "anything"...but any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!!!

after zooming in to the bill, it seems that this could be done by a person and not by the mint. I cannot really tell if this is an error and have not heard about this error before. Anyways, i might ask pmg if this error is recgonized by their staff and see what they say.

It looks to me like the ink was starting to run out at this point...the "error" that I had heard about on the news has the e and s missing...If you look at the s...the top is missing a little too...BTW...am I in the right thread for this question???
