I was wondering ths same thing and i have found out that some local banks, such as Wells Fargo here, recieve uncirculated currency. I have called seveal times over the period of 2 months and the only thing they can tell me is that uncirculated currency only comes in during hte week and you have to be lucky to get them before they are circulated. I am effortlesley going to try to get a stack because i have not yet done so. Also be aware though that only some banks recieve uncirculated currency. there are four wells fargos around my area and only one recieves uncirculated currency from the mint. not all branches of the bank have this ability. You can sometimes find broken stacks of currency at a stores, such as Pavilions market here, an will recieve it in change. Let me know what you discover because i nave not been sucessful in finding uncirculated stacks of currency.

Wondering? I live in Reno, NV. Maybe I can go to a casino and say that I am superstition and need to play with $1.00. bills in uncirculated consecutive bills.

Maybe? I'll try.

Ha ha, thats funny. If you see that they do have new bills only for redenpltion, give them a $100 and say you want 100 $1 chips, loose a dollar, and get your new bills! tongue.gif

just to add, i called my bank today and they said that new money orders are put in during christmas and new years so i guess ill have to wait a couple of weeks.

Hi, I just went to Wells Fargo to look for packs they did not have any so I deposited my check, then I went to Bank of America to pay my credit card and I ask if they had any packs and they did so I went back to Wells Fargo to get out a $100 from the ATM and got 5 consecutive $20 dallor bills 2004, I did not notice until I was AT bank of America, so I got the pack of $1.00 SN is 501C to 600C, 2003. Should I have keept the 5 $20s?

Choosing which bills to keep would depend on what the serial numbers of the 20's and what the sn of the 1's were. I always look at the whole number and not just the last 3. for ex, i would choose a bill that was "64446646" over one that was "09032012" or would look for repeater or radar notes.

Thanks for letting us know DPC. It would be nice to know what bank you worked at and what your job was.

The # starts at L 81541501 C to L 81541600 C so I do get one that is

L 81541541 C. What is a Radar note.

Thanks jayjay

Just to let you know i probably would have kept the twenties because there are no nice sn in the 1 dollar stack. radar notes are those that "flip over" halfway though the sn. for ex, "12344321" and repeater notes reapeat, so "12341234". even though the sn 81541541 looks fairly nice, i would not pay a premium for it. if the 8 was a 4, i would probably pay a prremium for it. However, nice find anyways. I would keep it if it came as change.

Im going to try to be the first to get 200 of the new 10's that are gonna come out and hope i get a nice number. if i dont, i can just use it as money anyways tongue.gif
