Federal Reserve Evolutions Collection

(First day of Sale June 30, 2005-- $1,700.00) - The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) proudly presents the Federal Reserve Evolutions Collection Series 2004 $20 and $50 matching set subscription program. This collection, limited to only 500 sets from each of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks, is the BEP’s first currency subscription product ever offered. Each set features a crisp, uncirculated Series 2004 $20 and $50 note with MATCHING LOW SERIAL NUMBERS and a beautifully illustrated booklet with a certificate authenticating your notes as genuine U.S. currency. The certificate is signed by the Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Each set in this collection is presented in an exquisitely crafted, velvet-lined, leatherette presentation case. The BEP will issue all 12 Federal Reserve Bank sets (beginning with San Francisco Evolutions) during 2005 and 2006. A new set will be released every one to two months.

 

The Federal Reserve Evolutions Collection will be limited to 450 subscription orders prior to July 27, 2005 (during the pre-release period). On July 27, individual sets will be sold for $149.95, and subscription orders will be available while supplies last.

 

Subscription options: Purchase the entire collection at a subscription price of $1,700, a savings of almost $100 off the cost of all 12 sets if purchased individually, or make 4 monthly installments of $430 per month (total price of $1,720).

Personally, I don't really think these are worth buying and don't think there is much of a collector base for them -- besides the fact that they are just "ugly".

 

I would suggest that you consider buying a nice CU Bison, Chief, or Educational note.
