Looking for $500 1935 Canada banknote

I was working as a teller in 2011 at the age of 19 and an older customer brought in a $500 banknote from 1935 (Canada). I've been obsessed about it ever since. I missed the chance to keep it and add it to my collection. $500 at the time was a week's salary for me. Now I'm 25, still looking for one. If anyone has any leads on someone who might have one, I would very much appreciate the opportunity of seeing, touching and hopefully buying one again.
