planman2014
Not much of a paper currency collector but curious what "The BIg One" is in the currency world? It obviously will probably depend on the country but I am curious for a note/bill/certificate that COULD very well exist but none are known, at least, in private hands. I am thinking comparable to the US 1849 $20 Gold Piece or the 1964-D Peace Dollar. Edit: Bills/Notes that are speculative to ever of even existed in the first place count. jtryka
Probably a series 1934 $100,000 gold certificate, totally real and totally illegal to own privately.
planman2014
Probably a series 1934 $100,000 gold certificate, totally real and totally illegal to own privately. All of them are accounted for correct? Any chance that is not accurate? As a coin collector we know the Mint's record keeping can be utter garbage. jtryka
Well, remember that notes are all numbered, but they are usually brought forth in Asia to people who are easily duped by fakes.
wheat'swheats
I think the ONE in us paper would be the $1000 Grand Watermelon which was a circulating note. As opposed to the $100,000 gold note which was used for bank to bank transactions.
