noob has 20 dollar questions

There are two twenties here one is a star note, the other just struck me as funny looking. When looking at the serial number of the second bill it looks like the number "ones" are taller than number "ones" on other bills. Is this a real thing like coins with small and large dates ?Perhaps the number 4 is smaller than usual or perhaps my eyes are tired.

They both look normal to me, I don't have a 1963A $20, but I do have a 1977 from the GB block and the digits look the same to me.
