Greenback

Here's a stunning example of a Greenback, issued during the civil war , and nicknamed from their green reverse.

 

This example has mega margins, so rarely seen for the fr. #.

Appearing as fresh and vivid as the day it was printed, an example like this rarely surfaces on the market.

 

Hence, when I came across this example in 2009, I was exceptionally pleased.

Really, really nice example GEM.....I never get tired of the notes you display.

 

A co-worker brought this in, and said a local coin shop offered her $100 for the note. I told her they were low balling her, and offered her double their offer ($200)......and now it's mine.
