braden j.-migration
What is the holy grail of paper money?
jtryka
US or world? I think for US, the unattainable holy grail would be a $100,000 gold certificate which is similar to a 1933 Double Eagle, but of those legal to own, I would think the $1000 watermelon would be up there. Just my opinion though...
lettow
On the world side? Any note from the Hejaz.

Techwriter
well, I'll go along with jtryka on the U.S. notes and with lettow for the notes from Hejaz; I'd likely consider a Chinese empire note, hard to say. At least that's a starting point on this subject and I'm sure others have good ideas also.
Nutmeg Coin
"Holy grail"--bad metaphor on money vs. the sacred realm. With dozens of other better metaphors, why not look for a better one in the realm of acquisition and greed?
