Two Types of 1869 Rainbow Notes?

Recently, I discovered that not all Fr18 1869 $1 Rainbow notes were printed with the blue paper and that there are actually two types. The two types supposedly have minor variations on the face design as well. Can anyone tell me more about the Type 1 note not printed on blue paper?
