1 post in this topic

I have a series of 1917 dollar bill. The number on the bill is: T64187388A.The

treasury person listed is H.Spellman,(left side of bill) Frank white treasury (rt. side of bill)

Middle of bill has picture of George Washington.

On left side of bill is picture , and it says, Act of March 3rd, 1863. On the back

of the bill, my great, great, uncle put his name, R. M. Maxey, Washington, D.C.May 30, 1922.

The bill is in perfect condition. Very interesting! Any information on it!

He also has a Reichbanknote, 5Z-353082. It reads, Einhundert millionen mark.

THen something in german and says, Berlin, aug. 22, 1923. He was in the

war and gased at flanders, france, but was rescued by some french people

and recouperated and returned to Tennessee. He was an attorney and was

in parters with the secretary of war at the time. His Law partner was Patrick

J. Hurley. My uncle was "a lawyer" who performed at his best when he was

about "3 sheets to the wind". He kept his "spirits" in a hollow black cane that

he took to court with him!

THis is beautiful history.

Any information on this?
