Philippine Pesos issued by Japan during World War II

3 posts in this topic

I have some paper money that was issued/printed by the Japanese Govt during their occupation of the Philippine Islands. The notes are not dated. The only outstanding feature is an image of the Rizal Monument.

Can anyone give me any more info about these bills? Are they collectible or just wallpaper?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

They are JIM or "Japanese Invasion Money" and I think there are a number of websites devoted to it. Unfortunately I don't think there is a whole lot of value to them. If you do a quick google search, you can find quite a few websites and learn more.

JIM notes are collectable, there are a number of people (including myself) that collect them. Most are inexpensive and there are many different types. As with any collectable the condition makes a difference in price.
