As such, I'm looking for guides to help me get my feet wet and understand the various issues, variants, value, etc. Looking on Amazon I came across a few and would like input as to which members would recommend: Confederate States Paper Money: Civil War Currency from the South by Arlie R. Slabaugh (Dec 9, 2008) Guide Book of Southern States Currency (The Official Red Book) by Hugh Shull (Dec 19, 2006) Collecting Confederate Paper Money - Field Edition 2008 by Pierre Fricke and Jennifer Meers (Jun 27, 2008) A Guide Book of Counterfeit Confederate Currency by George B.
