What should you list on USPS customs form

I need to ship 2 notes to Taiwan.I'm worried about putting currency or notes on the customs form.What would be best so it make its though customs and they don't get LOST?

I get things all the time from overseas and they all put "GIFTS" as items in the package.

I did learn you need to check the shipping rules/laws of the country you're shipping to.I found out you may not send gold,silver,gem stones,coins or paper currency by express mail to Taiwan.But priority mail or 1st class is fine.Why?Beats me.

Interesting. Did you find that on the USPS website? Just curious, so I know where to look myself if I send overseas.

I started to do an online customs form,to see what info they wanted.On this form it suggested to check for restictions.I picked Taiwan and started reading.

Packages are often opened at customs..... both ours and theirs...... (what is wrong with telling the truth)? I would also recommend using registered mail only when shipping internationally.

I know they get opened.I was just worried about the notes being removed/stolen and the package being del with nothing in it.
