HOW DO I TELL WHAT SERIES MY FRACTIONAL CURRENCY IS

I have a 1874 frac note .25 and a .10 that has no date except the treasurer was in 1849 (Meredith) i know there were different series of these notes but how do i tell? and what r they worth?

The 10 cent note should have the date on the right end... The date underneath the portrait relates to Meredith’s term as Secretary of the Treasury. In regards to what the notes are worth we do not give appraisals out on notes (only grades. :) My suggestion would be to find a copy of "Paper Money of the United States" by Arthur & Ira Friedberg book as a place to start for information regarding your notes.
