How long?

How long does it take to grade a note? I'm not talking turn round time, I'm asking how much time is spent on each note, and does it ever vary? I'm assuming you look at the note at a start point of 70 and deduct points for faults found, (much like judging at pet shows) ie the "standard of the breed" is a known......So how does this differ from that......that's how I do it anyway, I am interested to see if the time I spend is relative to yours.

The amount of time spent depends on the note. It always varies. Some notes are easier than others to grade, but no matter the note, we take the time to look at each one carefully.
