BEP Premium $10 Note sets - should I remove the notes?

I just picked up matching S/N1995/1999 $10 BEP premium note set(s) - 24 notes total in the two BEP books. I do not plan on grading them for about 6 months and was concerned about the BEP plastic/paper harming the notes. Should I remove the notes and place the them in rigid holders? Keep the books, just take the notes out for safer keeping before sending to PMG as matched pairs.
