Large Denomination Bills

Hi. I'm a paper newbie but would love to own a couple of $500 and $1000 bills. Not looking for condition. Was wondering where a good venue would be to purchase these bills? Ebay seems to sell low grade $500 starting at $600 and $1000 for $1200 or so. Didn't know if this was ballpark or not. Many thanks in advance.

Try Denly's of Boston, they usually have a nice selection (www.denlys.com). As for eBay, they may be cheaper, but I would go for a nicer note that might cost $900 for a $500 and $1,800 for a $1,000 note, but at least then it's a solid note as opposed to one that is worn, torn and just not pleasant to look at. Don't tie up the cash on those two notes. Find a rare note to invest the 2K in.

I agree - for the first time I went to their site this week and asked myself why I didn't visit sooner. Some really nice graded and ungraded notes.

Teletrade has started currency auctions once or twice a month. Was able to snag a consecutive 3 run set of PCGS superb gem $2 63 A's for just under $60. Worth checking out, PCGS and PMG graded notes only, no raw material...
