  1. Here's some notes you don't see every day. They are Allied Military Currency used in Italy in WWII. These are star notes and are very hard to find in this condition.

The notes were printed by Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Company in Boston under government contract but the serial numbers were added by the BEP - which is pretty obvious if you are familiar with US currency from this period.

  2. I picked up the first note in 2008. It was the lowest known 1963 $2 LT Star Note at the time. I just picked up its long lost brother at CPMX 2010, which is now the new lowest-known!

Interestingly, both grade VF30, A00000083* being in a PMG holder, and A00000082* in a PCGS holder.

  3. Love them both. Those 1966 red seal $100 bills are hard to find in Gem CU much less with with that low s/n. The $10 1934 silver certificate is very nice. Are you going to send the $10 in for certification? Great pickups. I'm jealous.

Thanks. I'm very happy with both notes. As for certifying the $10, I did quite the opposite - the $100 has already been removed from its holder. They fit better in my albums when they are not in holders. Most small size notes I intend to keep for a long time will get cut out, especially if they are in a non-PMG holder.
