Learning to make smart investment choices for my children.

My father collected some foreign coins when he was in the military. None were of value but the intresting pictures struck a fasination with coins. I was hooked. I began collecting other coins and was given a coin collection from my Mother; there were many dollar pieces, quarters, dimes, and pennies. I collected through the years and recently began making high investment purchases for my two children. Something I can pay $500 (example amount) at todays prices may double its value amount in the next 20-30 years. Yet, I did get duped along the way. Without doing my homework, I bought some pieces that not worth much over there face value. Luckly, I didn't loose to much money! Now I research pieces, sets, picking from the higher tiered grading companies, and making smarter choices. Although, I feel that I am still learning. Tina in Maine
