IRONING CURRENCY - Can you suggest a setting to get the wrinkles out?

First - this is for my personal collection! I do not plan on trying to sell this dollar.

I got a $1 Star FRN - F 08536161 * in change and carelessly stuffed it in my wallet. Now, 4 days later I find it's developed a nasty curl on one edge that a reverse roll won't fix. Can I use an iron to solve this problem and get the wrinkles out too? Can someone suggest a setting for the iron, a Rowenta PowerPress? Should I "mist" or otherwise moisten the bill before I iron? wink.gif

OK, seriously now, what is the currency collectors community's take on ironing, pressing, rolling, flattening etc of currency to remove folds, curls and wrinkles.

Have you considered just putting it in an acid-free holder and letting it sit for about 10 years? If you want to hurry the process up, perhaps you could put that acid-free holder under a couple of deluze coffee table books your wife collects... wink.gif
