Iranian P-137 differences

Seems like it might be the size of the serial #'s, large and small. Not seeing a lot of great information out there on these or if the variety is even real as those P#'s don't seem to be listed anywhere.

Thank you, that feels like a silly question.  Do you know, I use a website called banknote.ws to see the difference in bank notes, it even separates sub pick numbers by difference even by year of the displayed date stamp.  But I have some banknotes that do not show those different years.

Do the sub categories always matter 100% of the time when it comes to English date stamps (08 Jun 18) versus (11 Mar 19)

Id understand it matters if the Iranian stamp was different, but theres so many small differences that that website doesn't display every difference.

Same goes for this physical "The Banknotes of Iran" book I purchased, the book itself contains some typos and errors here or there, but i get the feeling at some level, there can be differences like the English date stamp of years that arent significant, so i shouldnt worry too much.

I think the answer is yes, as PMG probably wouldnt have graded the note as a fake if anything, but instead they just called it a pick and put no subcategory.  I think sub categories are helpful I guess, but not as important as simply recognizing differences.

Ok, I think I've found it.

From what I can tell the difference is the size of the serial number, there is no P# to differentiate between the two from what I'm seeing but I'm going off of the last World Paper Money catalog which is now several years out of date, so there very well could have been new P#'s issued for these. Also PMG does not have these varieties listed in their population report but that does not mean they don't exist.

Not always.

Looks like 137f(3) has the long signature.
