  1. Thanks I will look into your other suggestions. Thank you!
  2. WHOOO HOOOO!!! Finally I have something for sure that is worth sending in!!!! That $50 was handed back to my wife when she worked at a bank as a manager years ago. The customer complained that there was a problem with the note. We were basically living week to week on our salaries but she knew enough to save it and bring it home.
  3. Hi Mike, I may send one in then just to see how they grade. The cost is fair and I have nothing in my small coin collection that has been graded. To me its would be fun to see how well they do. It's worth a shot. Thanks, ---Mark
  4. Hi Mike, Thank you. I looked and I did not see anything similar to this out there. I thought that that strip was inside the note somehow. ---Mark
  5. The notes included here have errors... $1 Note - Serial number misprint $20 Note(s) - One has a printing error, the arched "SERIES OF 1929" overlaps "OR BY LIKE DEPOSIT" and the word "CASHIER" is not blacked out. (Similar serial numbers) $50 Note - I believe this is referred to as a "Offset Print Error" Please know that the $1 note and the $50 dollar note are fairly crisp and don't appear to have been in circulation that long. There are also a few other notes that I am including only because I am not sure if any of those are worth grading? Thank you, ---Mark
  6. Hi Mike, Thank you once again. Wow, so they aren't worth the money to get them graded. I will take your advice. I will be posting a few were notes too and hopefully something is worth while getting graded.
  7. Hello all, I have this $100 US note and I am not sure of two things. Please now that the note was in circulation but it still appears to be crisp to a certain degree. Her are my two questions... - Does the serial number in this case have anything collectibility? I know that it is not considered a low number but because of the "6969" that the rest are zeros does it add anything to the note? - Next the note itself looks strange, the first three letters in "UNITED" are shifted down and so is the "OF" below it. Also the bottom area of the shoulder of Franklin is shifted up. Any help is appreciated. Thank you again, ---Mark
  8. Hello, I have a general question about some one dollar bank notes from the Bahama's. I picked these up back in 1984 while my wife and I were on our honeymoon. The notes are crisp and look brand new, there is no discoloration, blemishes or folds. The color and brightness are much better than the image show. I have heard different opinions as to collecting sequential serial numbers when it comes to foreign currency versus US currency. My question is, do folks care about sequential serial numbers when it comes to foreign such as in these notes, or does it not make a difference? Also, is it best to get these graded as a set? I know that some of the Bahama notes are collectible but I am not sure if these are worth the cost? Thanks, ---Mark
  9. Hi Mike, I did post a message to the "Ask PMG" and they said that the pinned stack would have to be graded individually. I am going to listen to you since I would like to keep them as is. Thanks for your help, ---Mark
  10. Hi Matt: Thank you very much. I think it's best that they stay intact since they are a bit unusual stacked and pinned. ---Mark
  11. Hello, I am new to having anything graded. I am not sure if what I have can be graded by PMG. I have obsolete bank notes from the 1850's that are either uncut or in a pinned stack. The stack I believe contains 50 or 100 notes and the rest are loose uncut notes. I reached out to PCSG who just added grading for stacks and they told me that they do not have a holder that is large enough to hold the stack and that I would have to have them graded separately. I do not want to open the stack because its very unique. Does anyone know if PMG would grade this as they are without taking them apart? Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, ---Mark
  12. Hi Mike, Thank you for responding. I apologize I was away for a bit. You are correct, the strapped remainder notes are uncut at the bottom. As for reaching out to PMG it's worth a shot, maybe I will get lucky. If not I will see what's available when it comes to the sleeves. Thank you again Mike for your help. ---Mark
