Timothy Geithner being replaced by Jack Lew
well, i knew this would happen if i started looking at currency again, i went ahead and purchased some currency sheets from the BEP. they don't increase in value very fast, but i like to collect the 4 note sheets. with Timothy Geithner being replaced by Jack Lew, why not buy the 2009 notes. BEP says that due to the increased volume of orders, please allow four weeks for the delivery of your purchase.
have fun fellow currency collectors.
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is proud to present the Series 2009 Uncut Currency Sheets bearing the signatures of U.S. Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner and Treasurer of the United States, Rosie Rios.

2011 NOVEMBER SUMMARY
Hello fellow collectors,
well, the year is almost over, time for those new year's resolutions. Good and bad news for me this month. Bad news: is that i went over my budget, good news: i have added more currency.
The notes i submitted to PMG are in "quality control" so hopefully i will be getting them soon. Takes about 45 days for economy grading.
Wanted to, but was not able to attend the PCDA show, maybe next time.
Hope you all enjoyed your turkey. Take care, happy collecting.

quick comment to my collector journal
good day fellow collectors.
thought i would add a quick comment to my collector journal. i have been getting some calls from Heritage auctions to sell my collection, but i'm just not ready, maybe i will sell at the the 2014 FUN show. one of these years i will attend the FUN show, but i don't have much money to spend on collections, and the idea of selling only makes me want to buy more, but i keep adding what i can from BEP, US Mint and the occasional finding of a nice crisp bill from the local bank. i've been noticing the new currency being added by other collector here and there are some really nice collections out there, keep at it.
well, enjoy life, have fun collecting. take care

Honorable Mention
American Freedom
With so much activity over the past year on the PMG Registry there were numerous collectors considered for this year's Registry Awards. With active participation in nearly every available category for competitive US Registry sets and regular use of the Journals feature to track the progress of the collection, American Freedom represents the best of what paper money collecting is about. With several sets ranked in the top-3 of their respective categories and an overall profile rank of 4th across the entire PMG Registry, American Freedom earned the praise of our judges and will surely continue to build upon what is quickly shaping up to be a remarkable collection of large- and small-size US bank notes.
