  1. Was there a question hidden in there somewhere ?
  2. A little something from the Hermit Empire, North Korea. This was a gift from the owner of CGA, John Spinelli.
  3. I mostly agree with @Fenntucky Mike and will add that with National bank notes it doesn’t make a big difference to me. With moderns, it’s a must have.
  4. Thank you for your help Jennifer.
  5. My friend says these two were graded late last year (2020) and haven’t been added yet.
  6. Thanks Jennifer, I’ll get back to you.
  7. A few collectors have noticed that the PMG pop report has not updated in several months. They say notes that they have had graded months ago have not yet been added. Can anyone shed any light on this ?
  8. It’s a Chopmark. Often seen on $100 notes.
  9. The opinions are mostly positive, however most collectors of US paper money would definitely like the BP (back plate) number listed on the holder.
  10. Items SOLD on eBay show $700 - $1,200 is average...some more.
  11. Beautiful note. I agree with @jlars and will add that two-dimensional (flat) photos do not tell the whole story. Side lighting is necessary to get a better idea to the notes overall illustrated here.
  12. Several years back I was told it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get an uncirculated example before prices went I did. Originally nicknamed “Bin Laden” because everyone knew of their existence, but no one had ever seen one.
  13. Thanks for the reply Jennifer.
  14. Thanks for the reply. I’m asking about plate NUMBERS (not position) used on the front and back of all US paper money. The label I posted shows Plate #G49/78. Front plate number G49 and back plate number 78. Does PMG have any plans to add this information to its holder ?
  15. I’m talking about Front & Rear plate numbers...shown here on this holder.
  16. I’ve heard a number of opinions so far about the latest version of the PMG holder, some in favor of the new design, some not. What is mentioned by almost everyone is, when is PMG going to start putting the plate numbers on the front of their holder ? Has this been discussed somewhere before, or is it in future plans ?
  17. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe this set was pre-assembled at the BEP and sold as a complete district set with matching serial numbers.
  18. Putting all of your eggs in one basket might risk outpacing the demand with your supply...possibly diluting prices.
  19. Spotting folds from photos/scans is almost impossible. Some notes appear better than they are by lighting. Try some side lighting to detect folds and handling marks.
  20. There is a happy ending. I contacted a friend with considerable influence at PMG and somehow accomplished my end goal. A courtesy autographed note by Cabral in a courtesy autographed holder by Cabral. It took almost a year and I couldn’t be happier.
  21. Courtesy autographed notes are some of my favorites, so when PMG announced a Cabral autographed holder, I had an idea of getting my Cabral autographed note into a Cabral autographed holder. Somehow, I pulled it off.
